Volunteers of the Month

(See Past Volunteers of the Month)

DallasHR Volunteer of the Month

Heidi Torres
HR Generalist, HerrinHR

“Heidi Torres is the heartbeat of the Student Engagement Committee. While being in contact with TWU's SHRM chapter; keeping up to date on area internships, Heidi maintains SEC's social media presence, with style and consistency. With this year's HRSW Conference being virtual, Heidi played a major role engaging students with our lunch and learn sessions. She is a recent graduate of TWU, and has begun a new HR Generalist role with Herrin HR. In addition to volunteering with DallasHR, she is an advocate to end Alzheimer's and works with other worthwhile causes.” -Tomi Morriss, Director-Elect, Student Engagement Committee

The HRSouthwest Conference Volunteer of the Month

Maxine Walker

Manager HR/Employment, Collin College

“I nominated  Maxine because we had our first virtual meeting for the HRSouthwest Conference.  As part of the assignments for the volunteers, they were responsible for monitoring the chat and assist the speakers.   During the conference, I was assisting Maxine in a couple of sessions and  Maxine did an excellent job moderating her sessions, she was very engaging with the speakers and also with the attendees. “ Shirley Johnson, Director of Ed Sessions
