Meet the Speaker

Melissa Haid
Managing Consultant, hrQ

Melissa is a versatile HR professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial setting. She has 20 years of Talent Acquisition and Client Relationship management experience exclusively on the agency side. Her career began in San Diego, CA working for one of the largest franchises of Manpower North America filling roles for reputable companies like Callaway Golf, Abbott Labs and Qualcomm. Over her tenure with the organization, was promoted in quick succession and relocated to Albuquerque, NM as the Business Development Manager to start kick start the local market. Subsequent roles included Recruiting Branch Manager and Area Manager – Talent Acquisition. She managed $16MM of business and a team of 8 that was nationally recognized 3 times for the franchise with the highest gross profit increase and exceptional candidate experience combined. Volunteering has always been a key piece of Melissa's career and intrinsic values.  She has served on the SHRM chapter as the VP of Workforce Readiness for the State of New Mexico, various roles for the Human Resources Management Association (Albuquerque chapter) and Dallas Hr's Talent Management Committee and Transition Support Committee. In 2015, she relocated to Dallas, Texas and began working in the search vertical as a Managing Consultant for hrQ - a human capital consulting, interim Human Resources and Human Resources search firm. Many of her recruiting achievements are attributed to her intuitive nature and listening skills. By gaining a clear understanding of clients’ needs, she provides candidates who are not only qualified, but a cultural fit for the organization. Her broad HR knowledge, ability to build genuine relationships and commitment to client service are key contributors to her success.  When she is not at work, you will find her adventuring outside – preferably at the beach, traveling, watching Dateline crime shows and spending time with her husband and four-legged family.
