Compensation -

HR Professionals who wish to expand their knowledge and networks in the dynamic field of Compensation and Total Rewards are invited to join this PEG.  No matter what your level -- Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced -- you will find a myriad of timely topics, trends, best practices, and educational seminars to enhance your skills and knowledge in the Compensation field.

NEW!! Compliance PEG -

This is a new PEG. The first meeting will take place on June 10, 2010.

Whether you are in a specialized HR Compliance or an HR Generalist role, adherence to federal, state, and local laws is critical to our professional success.  The Compliance PEG has been formed to offer DallasHR members a forum for sharing ideas, best practices, and experiences concerning topics such as ADA accommodations, criminal background verifications, data privacy, policy/procedure development, and SOX compliance.

The Global HR PEG is comprised of those who work for a foreign owned company, support the international operations of a U.S. company, or are otherwise involved with international human resources, relocation and immigration issues. It offers an opportunity to network and share best practices with other DallasHR members facing the issues and challenges that are unique to working in a Global environment.

Non-Profit -

The Non-Profit PEG meets quarterly, usually over the lunch hour, and works to educate HR Professionals in the Non-Profit industry about issues specific to these types of organizations.  We are working to further network the group to provide support for one another in an industry that sometimes lacks funding for expensive education and training courses. Organizational Development -

Public Sector -

The purpose of the Public Sector PEG is to network with other public sector human resource representatives, discuss current issues, and solicit best practices.  This PEG will meet monthly, communicate frequently, and keep each other informed of public sector related topics.  Open to public sector individuals and organization representatives doing business in the public sector arena.  DallasHR membership required. Recruiting/Staffing -

The purpose of this PEG is to examine, discuss and generate solutions for recruitment problems unique to a corporate environment.  Past discussions have covered selecting vendor, creative recruiting, selecting an ATS and using social networks. Participants have been HR Generalists, Sourcers and Recruiters on all levels and it is a small enough group to encourage roundtable discussions.
