Symposium on Religion in the Workplace
April 8, 2010
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
When religion issues crop up in the workplace, things can quickly get out of hand. In this "Symposium on Religion in the Workplace" session, EEOC Education and Training Manager, Rodney Klein, will discuss how Title VII views religion. He will cover trouble areas such as when expression ends and harassment begins, and how the EEOC and the courts examine religious accommodation issues.
Following this overview, Carmen Carter of the Multicultural Women's Council, will moderate a discussion with esteemed panelists, Dr. Wafeeq Saleem Sabir, Mr. Gurvinder Singh, and the Honorable Gary L. Loster. They will discuss best practices for employers in working with employees of different faiths. They will also provide positive and helpful information about employment issues unique to Muslim, Sikh and Seventh-Day Adventist employees.
So, if you would like to learn more about the law, listen to an informative discussion on best workplace practices, and discover a little more about workplace issues some of your employees may be experiencing, this is a must attend event!
